I'm a professional journalist with experience as a full-time staff member at three metropolitan newspapers including the (Minneapolis) Star Tribune, the Wisconsin State Journal and the Mlive Media Group where I was the shared bureau travel writer for a chain with 1 million Sunday readers. I've also worked as a magazine editor, college journalism instructor and blogger.

My current passion is travel and telling those travel tales through a variety of mediums including an occasional NPR travel podcast (Journeys of Discovery), blogs, long-form magazine pieces and shorter newspaper stories.
